Artificial lighting that mimics the changing spectrum of sunlight. Circadian friendly lighting that changes throughout the day with three settings. Contains no visible flicker.

Unlike so called “smart bulbs” these full spectrum light bulb does not rely on Bluetooth, WIFI or cellular networks such as 4G and 5G. The full spectrum light bulb comes with 3 settings which can be manually changed to suit the time of day and season the light source is used at.

How to use the Full Spectrum Light Bulb?

The full spectrum light bulb currently comes in an E26 and E27 fitting which is compatible for lights worldwide*. Simply screw in the full spectrum light bulb into your lamp or light (with power off first) and switch on the light/lamp. This will give out full spectrum white light, perfect for during the daytime.

Turn the light off and turn it back on again, this will change to setting 2, amber light. This is the setting ideal for sunset and evening/night.

Turn the light off and back on again and setting 3 will become active, which is yellow light, low in blue light, which is ideal for post sunrise mornings and late afternoons. Turn the light off and back on again and setting 1 (full spectrum light) will be activated.

  • Setting 1 – Full spectrum light, mimicking sunlight during the middle of the day (soft white colour light)
  • Setting 2 – Zero blue light, mimicking the light environment ancestors would have seen post sunset and before bed (relaxing amber light)
  • Setting 3 – Low blue light, mimicking sunlight during the hours around sunrise and later afternoon/sunset (warm yellow colour light)

Matt's Thoughts: I experimented with the Philips Hue smart bulbs for a few months. It was really great to control my lights from away from home but the downside was dealing with the frequent tech issues the system had. Half of the time I couldn't connect to the Hue Bridge and thus my lights were either stuck on or off. There were also times when my Starlink would go to sleep (an incredible feature so you don't have to unplug it or use a timer) but that would disconnect me from controlling my bulbs.

These bulbs from Boncharge are incredible because you don't have to have WiFi on and you don't have to strain your eyes in orange or red lights like I did for several years. With a simple flick of the switch you can change between three settings. The amber glow is really nice at night.
